NOTICE
This
serves as a notification to the general public on the registration and
licence status of pension schemes, pension fund managers, reinsurance
companies, insurance companies, insurance brokers, insurance agencies,
motor assessors, loss adjusters and claims agents under the jurisdiction of
the Office of the Registrar of Pensions and Insurance.
We wish to WARN the public that it
is illegal to establish or manage a pension scheme without a
certificate of registration issued by the Registrar of Pensions and
Insurance as doing so contravenes
sections 7,8 and 11
of the Pension Scheme Regulation Act
No. 28 of 1996.
Members of
the public contributing to pension schemes other than for the National
Pension Scheme (NAPSA) and the under listed are advised to report to the
Registrar of Pensions and Insurance at the above address.
We also wish to WARN the public
that it is illegal to establish or operate or manage an insurance entity
such as those listed below or to engage in or transact in insurance
business without a valid licence issued by the Registrar of Pensions and
Insurance as doing so contravenes
sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9
of the Insurance Act No. 27 of 1997.
Furthermore, it is illegal under section 120 to insure any assets,
liabilities and interests situated in the Republic of Zambia with insurers
other than those listed below.
Members of
the public are advised to report any persons that appear to be operating in
contravention to the provisions of the above quoted sections of the
Insurance Act No. 27 of 1997 to the Registrar of Pensions and
Insurance at the above address.

as
at 1 January 2007 to transact insurance business during the current year ending
31st December 2007.
